In Three Acts is a music short film format that transforms albums into mini concept visual albums, selecting three songs to weave together into one cohesive story. For Leon Thomas’s album MUTT, the three chosen tracks are Yes It Is, Rather Be Alone, and Lucid Dreams. Together, they chart the arc of a relationship through its most tender beginnings, its inevitable unraveling, and the haunting aftermath of what is left behind.
The short opens with Yes It Is, where Leon’s hopeful sound underscores a sense of intimacy and possibility. Rather Be Alone shifts the tone toward distance and conflict, as the relationship begins to fracture under the weight of unspoken truths. Finally, Lucid Dreams creates an ethereal conclusion, blending memory and imagination as the characters drift between longing and release.
